We adopted a little pup, not so little anymore, by the name of Kermit from the Keysbourough animal shelter (aaps) just over 2 years ago. He had been starved and terribly mistreated by his previous owners, he suffered from mange and severe separation anxiety so it took lots of love (and treats!) to get him to gain our trust. It’s unbelievable how much damage a person can do to an animal in such a short amount of time but we put in a lot of work to get him to where he is now and needless to say he has become a big part of our family.
It’s so rewarding to know that he has a warm bed at night and never has to go back to the life he had before. He’s super smart, crazy and has way too much personality, but nothing beats the unconditional love (and kisses) we get.
