Do you travel interstate/overseas for weddings?

I am based in Bentleigh East, Victoria but love to travel and will happily visit anywhere to photograph your wedding or your family. Just get in touch and I can find a way to make it happen. I will need you to cover my flights and some accommodation.

Do you offer high resolution images?

We offer fully edited, high resolution images for you to keep as well as beautiful albums and prints. As amazing as digital photography is, nothing quite compares with seeing your photos in print wether it be an album or a print on your wall.

Will we meet in person before the big day?

100% I love getting to know all my clients before the wedding. This is such a personal day, we want you to feel that we’re the right fit for you!
However, if it’s too difficult to get here (or you live interstate/overseas) I’m always happy to chat over the phone or Skype.

Why do you only offer full day coverage?

I’ve found that 8-10 hours usually covers a wedding day perfectly, capturing both the bride and groom getting ready, all the way up to well into the reception. Plus it wouldn’t be a story with parts missing.

What do we get afterwards?
You will receive 650+ high resolution, edited images for you to keep…  However we do offer prints if you would like quality enlargements for your walls. The amount of images varies depending on how much we cover on your wedding day.

We highly recommend considering an album as well – there’s nothing like seeing your gorgeous photos on high quality art paper in a coffee table book. It’s certainly something special you can share with your children & grandchildren in the years to come. You will also receive an online gallery to share with all your guests and those that couldn’t make it on the day.

Do we need to feed you on the day?

Yes please! Nobody likes a “Hangry” photographer, so if you could cater for me that would be greatly appreciated!

What if we decide on the day that we’d like you to stay longer than anticipated?

That’s fine; we can stay as long as you need, each extra hour will just incur an extra $250 fee.

What time of day should we get married and have our portraits? We want it to look as good as it can!

Try to avoid the middle of the day, when the sun is directly overhead (approx 11am – 3pm). This causes unflattering shadows and highlights on faces, and makes everyone squint! If you can, aim for a time where the sun is at a lower angle, particularly for your bridal photos. The last hour of light before sunset is prime portrait time. If your wedding is in winter then we highly recommend having an early ceremony or having your portrait session before you get married, you would be surprised how dark it can get. It’s not the traditional thing to do but it’s a lot less stress and you will have a lot more time to enjoy your guests.

What is a first look?

I believe that there are absolutely no rules when it comes to weddings, it’s a celebration that should reflect your relationship. A first look is basically a glimpse at each other before the ceremony and trust me it’s a really special moment. You can get ready separately or together, there are no rules here. I personally got ready with my husband (and our fur baby) before our own wedding and it was one of my favourite moments of the day…and yep we still blubbered all the way through our ceremony just in case you thought it would kill the mood!

I’m always up for anything, it’s your day and the most important thing is that you keep it true to you as a couple.

What happens if it rains on the wedding day?

Then we get out there with umbrellas! Some amazing pictures and gorgeous moments have come out of celebrations with miserable weather…  it can always be a good idea to get some umbrellas that match your theme. We love working with relaxed couples that are happy to embrace the weather they are given, rain, hail or shine. Which can be all in one day in Melbourne!

How soon will we receive the film/photo collection?
During peak wedding season you can expect your photo collection ready within 6 weeks of the big day but we will send you a few little sneaky peaks along the way. You can share your photos on Facebook and through email, so all your friends and family overseas can enjoy the story of your incredible celebration from home.
How do we lock in a booking?

After we meet up and get to know each other a little, if you’re ready to lock in a booking with us we’ll send out the paperwork for you to read through and sign, and give you our bank details so you can transfer a 30% deposit. The final payment is due four weeks before the wedding.
