A Joyful Engagement Photoshoot with Jo, Michael, and Rollo
Photographing Jo & Michael’s Melbourne city engagement was such a blast! Their adorable Great Dane, Rollo, truly stole the spotlight. As we strolled through Melbourne, people couldn’t help but admire Rollo—it’s not every day you see such a big dog in the city! His charm and personality added an extra layer of fun to the session.
For their engagement photoshoot, Jo and Michael wanted something relaxed and personal. We explored some of their favorite spots, including the memorable Romeo Lane, where they shared one of their first dates. It was fantastic to revisit these meaningful places with them while capturing their love story in a Melbourne city.

We had a lot of laughs during the shoot! Jo even confessed that she thought Michael was a bit of a dork when they first met because he was a lawyer. She spoke whatever came to her mind, which I absolutely loved about her—even when her thoughts were totally random. It made the shoot so genuine and fun!
They decided on this engagement session because they were a bit nervous about being in front of the camera. Plus, they couldn’t include Rollo on their wedding day, so this Melbourne city engagement was the perfect opportunity to feature him and capture some personal moments. By the time their wedding day came around, Jo and Michael were absolute naturals. Their connection and confidence really shone through in their wedding photos.
