Altar Electric Elopement captured by Melbourne Wedding Photographer

Maggie & Nathan’s Vibrant Altar Electric Wedding // Collingwood

A Relaxed & Colourful Altar Electric Wedding

Maggie and Nathan’s wedding at Altar Electric in Collingwood was a perfect mix of fun, colour, and relaxed vibes. Since they have been together for 15 years, it’s no surprise that their connection felt effortless throughout the day. Right from the moment they arrived, their calm and easygoing energy set the tone for what would be a truly perfect celebration. Their day was captured mostly on digital, but I also shot a handful of 35mm film photos to bring in a bit of that retro feel.

Wedding Ceremony at Alter Electric

Maggie and Nathan decided to get ready together, with just Maggie’s mum and their rescue greyhound, Mac, keeping them company. Meanwhile, Mac, the cutest guest, stole the show by taking a nap right in the middle of the aisle. Their ceremony was heartfelt and relaxed. Personalised vows reflected their deep connection and shared humour. Every word felt genuine, creating a moment that was both emotional and full of laughter.

A Punny Celebration at Maggie’s Bar

After their wedding ceremony at Altar Electric, Maggie, Nathan, and their guests hopped on a bus and made their way to Maggie’s Bar. Fittingly, it was a happy coincidence that the venue shared the same name as the bride! To make it even more special, Nathan, a talented graphic designer, created custom signs with a fun, punny twist to celebrate their shared name. As a result, it added a personal touch to an already unique and memorable day.

Laughter and Love All Day Long

Maggie’s Van Der Kooji mini dress, with its big puffy sleeves, was a true standout. Not only did it make a statement, but it also fit the Altar Electric vibe perfectly, adding a fun 80s wedding influence to the photos. Throughout the day, Maggie and Nathan spent their time laughing together, which made for portraits filled with pure joy. Their guests were loads of fun, adding to the lively atmosphere and making the day even more memorable. Later at Maggie’s Bar, they enjoyed great food, shared plenty of laughs, and listened to heartfelt (and hilarious!) speeches.

A Celebration with a Laid-Back Vibe

The vibe was laid-back, and the daytime celebration matched Maggie and Nathan’s casual theme perfectly. After a big day, Mac went home early for a well-deserved nap. Meanwhile, the rest of the party kept the celebrations going late into the night.

This Altar Electric wedding was so much fun to be part of. The relaxed atmosphere, quirky details, and endless laughs definitely made it unforgettable. Moreover, every moment felt special, and honestly, I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
